Petroleum Economics and Public Policy Aspects of Oil & Gas Industry Governance

Humphrey Onyeukwu is a corporate lawyer with a high degree of skill and expertise in providing legal advisory services to the energy markets. Specialty include advising the upstream oil and gas sector on transaction structuring, assets acquisition and divestment, market entry and regulatory compliance regime; He is the Legal Manager at Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (operators of OPL 281) and had previously served as legal adviser to other
major oil and gas Independents in Nigeria.

He has frequently facilitated and made presentations on oil and gas matters at international conferences and universities, at the Advanced Contract Risk Management for Oil and Gas Summit (December 2012, Aberdeen Scotland); Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen and the Dundee Business School, University of Abertay, UK. Also, recently organized the highly successful Workshop on ‘Oil & Gas Negotiations: Identifying and Securing Value Through Effective Negotiation’, Lagos 27th – 29th October , 2015.

He is a subject matter expert for several news services and had been featured in interviews by major energy publications and think-tanks including Oi l Review Africa, Upstream magazines and the Oxford Business Group publication on Nigeria energy sector. He is currently the President of The Lagos Oil Club, an association of senior Oil and Gas Professionals in Nigeria with interest in networking and advancing advocacy within all aspects of petroleum and other energy resources issues relating to Nigeria and the world in general.

Mastering Upstream Petroleum Industry Agreements, Regulation and Negotiations

Prof. Wumi Iledare is the Chirota and Emmanuel Egbogah Distinguished Professor of Petroleum Economics and Strategy and Director of Emerald Energy Institute for Petroleum Economics, Management and Strategic Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria; and Professor Emeritus of Petroleum Economics and Policy Research at Louisiana State University Center for Energy Studies, USA. He is a member of the Advisory Board and Senior Advisor of Petroleum Economics and Strategy at the International Institute of Petroleum, Energy Law and Policy (IIPELP) in Abuja, Nigeria. Iledare is a Past President and  Senior Fellow of the United States Association for Energy Economis (USAEE), the 2014 President of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), and a Distinguished Fellow and the 2015-17 President of the Nigerian Association for Energy Economics (NAEE). Iledare, an expert in geopolitics of oil and gas resources; petroleum project economics and fiscal systems economics, is a recipent of SPE regional award for distinguished contribution to petroleum engineering in the area of management and information.
